About The Blue Flag

Welcome to The Blue Flag!

The Blue Flag is a political blog that attempts to bring you the latest political and economic news without the fluff, without the hype, and without the crap.

From the beginning of history, politics has made the world tick. Ever since the first Neanderthal took leadership of his tribe after a successful hunt, politics has played a pivotal role in our lives as humans. Today, the roller coaster of American politics continues to fascinate and enrapture eager readers, both in America and around the world. Democracy makes both a better nation and one hell of a ride.

But the quality of journalism has been in recession for too long. There was a day when reporters checked and double-checked their facts, crafting the best and most informative story for their listeners or readers. However, today, with the digital revolution, the news has become a messy 24 hour affair, where deadlines are more important than facts and every new story starts a journalistic sprint to report the story first. This results in rampant inaccuracy, irrationality, and general misinformation.

That’s not the only problem. Journalism has also become bland and repetitive. There’s no fire to it anymore, and it’s hard to keep up when every article reads the same. Although neutrality is crucial to reporting an accurate story, personal perspective is just as important.

The Blue Flag aims to be different. Not only does it provide the latest American political and economic news, but it provides it in an original way, infused with fresh perspectives and personal experiences. Think of it as a news source supplement; reading a news source like CNN or The New York Times can only provide 50% of your daily value of information. The Blue Flag aims to provide the other 50%. If you balance your diet, why not balance your information?
